Wrenegade Foundation provides targeted financial support to community groups, programs, and nonprofit organizations that serve their community in one or more of the following areas:

  • farms, farmland, and local food systems. Initiative or partnerships that preserve land, produce food, or connect people to locally-produced food

  • fitness and outdoor recreation. Projects that provide equal access to healthy, fun activities

  • community characteristics.  Projects that highlight an aspect of local heritage or culture

What we Fund

Expenses related to specific activities or projects including materials, supplies, marketing, planning, space and equipment rental, and operating costs

Eligibility and Criteria

Any nonprofit organization, school, church, municipality, or community group may apply. Beneficiaries will be selected based on these criteria:

· the funded project is connected to or acts in service of the above priorities

· our funding is likely to help the applicant complete a goal or implement a project

· the applicant’s plan for communicating with event participants about their mission or project is spirited and conveys something about the organization or place

All beneficiaries must complete a Funding Agreement before funds will be released and a final report within 30 days of their project end date.

We recommend applying as soon as organizations have compiled the necessary information and no later than six weeks prior to the event date. Applications are reviewed as they are received, and beneficiaries are selected on a first-come-first-served basis. Apply early.
